Who we are:

We are a people, not just a place or program, a people.

All of our people have struggles, insecurities, flaws, and a lot of failures. And yet, we have a Savior that loves us!

We would like for you to experience the love of our Savior along with us.

The First Baptist Church of Sharon was organized in 1881. We are affiliated with the Jones County Baptist Association and a member of the Southern Baptist Convention.

What to expect:

We are serious about the uniting the body of Christ around His mission. We want you to expect to be comforted, convicted, and challenged while you are with us.

Our strategy for involving new members and strengthening core members is through Church C.A.R.E.:

We seek to COVENANT with God and each other as a Faith Family. We recognize that we are ACCOUNTABLE to one another for personal growth. We encourage each member to take RESPONSIBILITY for the good of the church. We equip every member to be involved in EVANGELISM for the glory of God.
